Old SongA song comes on the radio quite near, A thought in the distance and nothing more, Afraid of feeling things I can’t deplore. I fight away sounds that echo in my ear.Old Song
But when I listen new feelings appear, They show me things I never saw before, A void of empty thoughts I feel no more, A Shining light inside to starve my fear.
Such words I’ve heard before from this old song, New tune, new words, but I still sing along. A melody I can’t quite seem to drop.
But there comes a time, In every rhyme, When the words just stop.

I was angry at somethingFancies and Fears, They mash and they bite, They scream and they fight, In men of all years.I was angry at something
The slow moving beast To tear at the light And ring in the night, With nothing but tears.
But surely we might, Hold on to a ray The long night at bay Find hope in the light.
But in mice or in men, Their passions and fires, Their doubts and desires, Will win out again.
So here I lie, Just out of sight, To beckon the cry, “To Fight! To Fight! The beast and the bite, A creature of light, am I!”

WisteriaThey’re dying, they’re dying, The flowers are dying, The wind in the trees, In the leaves, is sighing.Wisteria
The purple is fading, Evading, away. April’s diluting, Won’t make it till May.
They fall one by one, thats all, it is done. They left on a breeze, Through the trees, there are none.
